| This site has been taken down temporarily to comply with the California State Board of Chiropractic Examiner's demand in a letter dated 25 January, 2006 informing me, among other things, that there is no such thing as an Animal Chiropractor or Animal Chiropractic as expressed in their letter excerpted as follows:
... Title 16, California code of Regulations, Section 302 (a) (1), states in part that "a duly licensed chiropractor may manipulate and adjust the spinal column and other joints of the human body..." Because the scope of chiropractic practice is limited to the treatment of humans, you cannot advertise that you provide chiropractic care to animals. Only a supervising veterinarian may advertise that his/her practice provides musculoskeletal manipulation as a form of treatment....
This site will be reposted once we have fully understood and appreciated this demand and have made certain that we are in full compliance with this and any other pertinent regulations.
I apologize to those who have found this site looking for solutions to their companion's pain and suffering.
Sincerely,
Kelly Thompson, DC
